I Quit Sugar » A sweeter life without the sugar
I want to introduce you to one of my favourite food resources. I Quit Sugar by Sarah Wilson. This isone of the most informative websites I’ve come across about why it’s important to minimise our sugar consumption of both artificial AND natural sugars as much as possible.
I’ve been using the IQS programme as a guide for about 2/3 months now and I can say I feel soo much better for it… And thats coming from someone has cut out all processed foods for a long time. I starting cutting out wheat about 3.5 years ago, which helped hugely after I’d had headaches pretty much every… single… day for the last 20 years. I had them so often I was more surprised when I had a day that I didn’t have a headache. I just put it down to being a ‘headachy’ person. I had been replacing wheat snacks with fruit thinking that was healthier. For a while I did feel much better but about 6 months ago the headaches return, albeit not to the same extent, they were still a hindrance.
I came across Sarahs book by chance and bought it on a whim. There was so much useful and sensical information I tried the recipes straight away and can honestly say my headaches has again reduced dramatically.
The blog posts on the website are regular, topics are well researched, interesting and they often answer users comments with helpful advice. I have both her books too - I quit Sugar 8 week Programme and I quit Sugar for Life
Don’t be daunted by the whole “I quit forever” vibe… I do occasionally eat fruit, maybe I’ll have a date as a treat and I don’t eat anywhere near as much meat as the book uses but that doesn’t mean the other information can’t be tailored to your own way of eating
If you try it, let me know what you think! Enjoy
